Hello my fellow reader! My name is Nathalie but everyone calls me Naty.
In my first post I wanted to introduce myself and this way you guys can get to know me a little better on a personal level and understand the reason of why I wanted to start blogging.
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
Let's begin by saying that I am not originally from the US, I was born in Venezuela on a bright December 31st as expected by my parents. I do believe that because I was born on my due date, on the last day of the year, many characteristics of my personality are defined by that.
I moved to the US with my family a week before my 16th birthday, not by choice, it was a 2 week "vacation" that turned into 19 years later. I am not going to lie, being a 16 year old teenager, it hurt a lot. Not being able to say goodbye to my friends was really hard and going to school in English freaked me out, but I understood that this move was more difficult for my parents than for us. I did learn something about this experience, and this is something I carry with me all my life, EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON! I am a true believer of that and many things have happened in my 35 years of life that have supported my theory.
FAST FORWARD TO ADULTHOOD
I am married to my college sweetheart/headache guy, and it's been eleven amazing years of a rollercoaster of emotions, we have been together since we were 18, he truly believes i can read his mind.
I am also a mother of 2 funny and very different girls that you will see from time to time in my posts and also if you follow me on Instagram @nathaliegoshen (wink face, kiss face). Honestly, becoming a mother showed me everything that everyone says but especially showed me how little patience I have and how much I don't like to bathe them.
One thing i can tell you, my impulsive desire to learn and share how to make this a better place, is mostly driven by them and their future families ( will talk more about this in a a little)
I have a background in architecture and construction, i know a little about the anatomy of the eye because in my previous life I worked for an eye bank, and I love to cook ( I am the worst at baking, specially bread) I like the outdoors, the hot spots when the sun heats the floor (yes, like a cat) and I enjoy very much sleeping ( no I don't think it is a waste of time)
ENVIRONMENTALIST?
Absolutely YES! Call me a fancy hippy, tree hugger, plant (like my kids) anything you want and I will totally agree with you.
Everything started when I was little, loving the plants, the outdoors and living life like it was not my problem because they never taught me about this topic EVER!

Moving forward to almost 5 years ago it waste the picture above, that flipped my switch. Literally it shocked me to the point of imagining telling my future grandkids stories when I used to swim in the ocean, that now is covered with trash and you guys can not enjoy. It only took one picture for me to really start learning and diving into this topic, realizing how much it affected me and everyone I love. Learning how I was being part of the problem and how little I knew about it. One picture inspired me to realize how the future generation is not being taught anything related to the environment or how to take care of it.
That being said, this is when I mention what my blog is obviously going to be about.
ECO - EMPATHY and ECO- COMPASSION will be the core because if you start having these two feelings toward our planet ( the only freaking one we have) I promise your switch will be flipped too!
Pinky promise I will put a lot of work into sharing everything I have learned and everything I will learn with you, to make your sustainable life more easy and less overwhelming!
Remember what for you needs to become a new habit, for the little ones will be the normal!
Tell me something unique about you!!
